One day Lulu decided to write a letter to Sally. So Lulu got a sheet of paper, and a pencil, and an envelope, and a stamp. On the sheet of paper, Lulu wrote a short message.
It said, “Dear Sally, I’m so glad that you’re my friend. I just wrote you this letter to tell you that you’re very special, and I have fun reading stories together with you. If you would like, you can write me a letter back.”
Then Lulu folded the sheet of paper, and put it in the envelope. After that, Lulu stuck the postage stamp onto the envelope, and wrote Sally’s address on the envelope. Then Lulu put the letter in the mailbox for the mail delivery person to take.
After a few days, Sally was at home when the envelope arrived. Sally was very excited to receive a letter, and quickly opened the envelope. Sally took the sheet of paper out, unfolded it and read it. And Sally smiled because it was a very nice letter from piggie. Then Sally decided to write a letter back to Lulu.

Then Sally folded the sheet of paper, and put it in the envelope. Then Sally stuck the postage stamp onto the envelope, and wrote Lulu’s address on the envelope. And Sally took the letter to the post office and mailed it. The next day, Luu was at home when the envelope arrived.
Lulu was very excited to receive a letter back from Sally. And Lulu opened the envelope very fast. Lulu took the sheet of paper out, unfolded it, and read it. Now Lulu laughed aloud as she read the letter from Sally. It was so nice to receive, and Lulu was very happy.
Lulu took the letter to the kitchen and put it on the refrigerator door with a magnet. Then it was time to eat dinner. Lulu sat down and ate dinner with her parents, and told them about the letter. After dinner it was time to get ready for bed. Lulu brushed her teeth, then laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
