One evening piggie and bunny were walking through the forest to their friend’s place. and they reached the river. There was an old wooden bridge on the river, but right now it was closed for repairs. They still wanted to cross the river. And they thought of different ideas of how they could go to the other side.
Then piggie had an idea of what they could do. She told bunny that they could collect a lot of big rocks, and then throw those rocks in the river. And by throwing enough rocks in the river, the rocks will pile up and stay above the water. Then they can walk across the rocks and not get wet.
Piggie and bunny went to look for big rocks. Piggie found some and brought the rocks to the edge of the river. Then piggie wondered where bunny was, because bunny wasn’t there. Piggie went to look for bunny. After a while, piggie found bunny near a very big rock. But the rock was bigger than both of them. And bunny couldn’t push it by himself.
Piggie tried to help bunny push the rock. Both of them pushed and pushed, but the rock didn’t move. Then piggie said they should try to break the rock in half. Bunny went to get a hammer and came back. Bunny started to hammer at the rock to break it in half. After hammering for a while, bunny was able to break the rock open.
As the big rock cracked in half, bunny and piggie saw that inside it was a round shiny ball. The ball was as big as them, and there was a button on it. When they pressed the button, the ball opened. There were two seats inside the shiny ball. Piggie and bunny sat inside and pushed another button. The shiny ball closed, and they could see through it and look outside.
The ball started moving with them sitting inside it, and it moved forward for a while, then stopped. They pushed a button inside, and the shiny ball opened. Bunny said to piggie that they could try to cross the river using the shiny ball. Piggie agreed, and they took the shiny ball to the river.
When they reached the river, they pressed the button on the shiny ball. Again the shiny ball opened and they stepped inside and sat down. Then they pushed another button and the shiny ball closed and started floating across the river. On the other side of the river, the shiny ball opened on the ground.
Piggie and bunny got out and laughed. They were amazed at how they found this shiny ball inside a big rock. They put a sign on the ground in front of the shiny ball. On the sign they wrote, “press the button to sit inside and cross the river.”
Then piggie said goodbye to bunny, and went back home. When piggie arrived at home, she made something for dinner. After eating dinner, piggie drew a picture of herself and bunny sitting inside the shiny ball, and floating across the river. Piggie put the drawing on the refrigerator. Then piggie got ready for bed. She brushed her teeth, and laid down. Piggie closed her eyes, and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
