One evening Lulu decided to have a little tea party with her stuffed toys. Lulu went to the shelf where she kept her toy animals. First she picked up her toy dog and said hello.
The toy dog said, “woof,” and Lulu smiled and put the toy dog on the floor by the bed. Then Lulu went to the shelf and picked up her toy cat and said hello. The toy cat said, “meow,” and Lulu smiled and put the toy cat on the floor by next to the toy dog.
Then Lulu went to the shelf and picked up her toy lion and said hello. The toy lion said, “roar,” and Luu smiled and put the toy lion on the floor next to the toy cat.
Then Lulu went to the shelf and picked up her toy bird and said hello. The toy bird said, “chirp,” and Lulu smiled and put the toy bird on the floor by the lion.
Then Lulu went to the shelf and picked up her toy elephant and said hello. The toy elephant said, “puuun,” and Lulu smiled and put the toy elephant on the floor by the bird.
Then Lulu said, “welcome everybody, it’s time to have a little tea party with dog, cat, lion, bird, and elephant.” Then Lulu put the five toy animals in a circle on the floor so that they were facing each other. Lulu imagined them all smiling at each other and saying hello and getting excited for the little tea party.
Lulu said, “okay, now let’s start by having some imaginary tea,” and she put some imaginary cups in front of the toy dog, and in front of the toy cat, and in front of the toy lion, and in front of the toy bird, and in front of the toy elephant.
Next, Lulu pretended to pick up an imaginary teapot and poured some imaginary tea into the imaginary cups in front of the five stuffed toys. Then they all took small sips of the tea from their teacups, until all the teacups were empty. Mmmm, that was good.
Then the toy animals were tired, and they wanted to go to sleep but they couldn’t reach up onto the bed by themselves, so they tried to help each other. First, the toy elephant stood on the floor next to the bed, then the toy lion stood on the toy elephant, then the toy dog stood on the toy lion, then the toy cat stood on the toy dog, and lastly the toy bird stood on the toy cat, but they still couldn’t reach all the way up to the bed.
Lulu came to help, and picked up the five stuffed toys and put them all on the bed. After putting the toy elephant, the toy lion, the toy dog, the toy cat, and the toy bird under the blanket, Lulu got on the bed as well. They all closed their eyes, as they went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
