One evening after dinner Lulu wanted to read a book. She took a book off the bookshelf and sat down. When she opened the book, she turned to the first page. But the first page was blank. That was strange. Lulu turned to the second page. And the second page was also blank.

She turned to the third page. And the third page was also blank. Lulu looked through the whole book, turning every page. And every page was blank. There were no words in it. Lulu was confused. She put the book back on the bookshelf. Lulu took another book off the bookshelf. She opened this book, and it was also empty.

Again, she looked through every page, and all the pages were empty. There were no words in it. This was very strange. One by one, Lulu took all the books off the bookshelf, and she looked through the books, and all of them were empty. Lulu wondered where all the words from the book were.

Then Lulu went on a search to find the missing words. Lulu looked in the kitchen to see if there were any words from the books. She looked in the fridge. There was only food in the fridge. She looked in the freezer. There was only frozen things in the freezer. She looked in the bathroom, but there were no words in the bathroom.

Lulu looked in the bedroom, but didn’t see any of the missing words in there. She even checked under the blanket on the bed, but there was only the bedsheet. Then Lulu saw something near the pillow. She picked up the pillow, and some words fell out of the pillowcase. Lulu was surprised. How did the words get there?

Lulu wondered what to do next. Then Lulu had an idea. She went to get one of the books, and she brought it over to the pillow. She took the pillow out of the pillowcase. And there were more words inside the pillowcase. Lulu put the empty book inside the pillowcase and held the pillowcase in her hands.

Then she shook the pillowcase with the book inside it. After shaking it for a minute, Lulu opened the pillowcase. She took the book out of the pillowcase and looked inside the book. Lulu turned to the first page, and it had words on it. She turned to the second page and it had words on it. Lulu looked through the whole book, and now every page had words in it again.

Next Lulu had to look for the rest of the words for all the other books from the bookshelf. Lulu remembered that the laundry had just been done, so she went to the laundry room to look there. Lulu looked in the washing machine, but there was nothing in it.

Then Lulu looked in the dryer machine, and she saw a lot of words inside it. Lulu went to get a laundry bag, and filled it up with all the words in the dryer machine. Then she put the empty books in the laundry bag, one by one. She shook each book in the laundry bag, and when she took out the book, it was full of words again.

When she opened the laundry bag and took the last book, the laundry bag was empty of words. And all the books on the bookshelf had all their words in them again. Then Lulu chose one book and began to read it. When she finished, she got ready for bed, and brushed her teeth. Then she laid down and went to sleep, slowly slowly slowly.
